If you are thinking of buying a dog, think poodles first and last. Poodles are very intelligent and easily trainable, because they love to please. There are many outstanding qualities of this breed. They are wonderful family dogs. They love people and are very gentle with children. They will quickly become another family member.

They are great house dogs because they are easily house broken, do not shed, and have no odor. 

 Poodles love to go on hikes or walks as they were originally used and bred as hunting dogs. They are often still used as hunting dogs, however, they are mainly purchased for family companions because of their lovable, gentle and accepting nature.
